New Year for Just Slythex 1-12-11

I had a problem accessing this blog before the turn of the year 2011. Thanks to Blogger, three of my four blogs have been recovered.

Perhaps. I should start by describing myself.

I am discreet straight-acting male doing online jobs and pursuing online earnings. I am from an island dubbed by many as among the beautiful islands in the Pacific, Cebu.

I want to continue what I have started. After closing down a blog same as this one on 2009, I decided to be open with myself and reveal some things that may have relevance to the gay community in the Philippines.

I still remember when I was 11 when I had a calendar on the wall with pictures of celebrities under contract with Viva. Sharon Cuneta was the biggest star of Viva Films at that time. Next to her was Rustom Padilla, the younger brother of Robin Padilla. It would have been Robin Padilla but the Philippines' celebrated bad boy was spending his time in jail.  Rustom Padilla was a big star during the 1990's. They were the three leading men of that decade with Rustom the biggest matinee idol of Viva Films while Richard Gomez and Aga Muchlach alternated between Star Cinema and Regal Films.

The should-be gay bars in Cebu

Gay bars in Cebu are known to be mostly strip clubs with young men called go-go boys dancing provocatively to win the hearts of their audience.  Macho dancer is a more popular term for a go-go boy in the Philippines. They are mostly young with muscular or toned bodies and attractive. The handsome lads of the crop of macho dancers get the most wow from the audience while those who manage to impress have the bodies or the "asset". But there is irony in having these strip clubs known as gay bars in the Philippines, especially in Cebu. A gay bar should be a hangout place for gays, not for supposedly gay yet straight dancers who cater to gay and women clientele for a night or a "short-time". It is mostly seen as a male-whore club than a place for hook-ups.  With the relabeling of gay bars in Cebu into male entertainment clubs, the public would now have an idea what kind of club they want to go for hook-ups. Thai Series,Together With Me, Showcases Legendary Gay Love Scene

Thai Boys Love series, Together with me, has done what other Asian BL series have failed to do. The directors and producers have probably listened to the concerns of BL audience, whose main sentiment is the lack of passion of M2M romantic couples who are also the leads in the series. When I mean the lack of passion, it means the lack of kissing parts. Some BL series are even devoid of that scene, making the watchers and audience think that they have been fooled.  Lately, watching Boy's Love (BL) series has been a pastime.
