Sebastian Castro reveals he's gay, made a big hit with 'Bubbles'



Sebastian Castro, a Peruvian-Japanese with American nationality, reveals he is gay. A social media personality, he uses the social networks such as Youtube and Twitter to come out from the closet.

"I am gay. I am proud to be gay." Cliched statements in coming out but what he did was still sweet and honest, nonetheless.

The 5'8" hunk, who graced the cover and pages of Cosmopolitan magazines, told his followers of his true sexuality. He is more popular in the Philippines as a twitterlebrity, one of the 69 Cosmo hunks in 2011 and now a budding musician.

Originally an artist, Sebastian Castro painted for clients including celebrities. His artistic abilities extended to show business where he admitted being an actor during his interview on Becky Nights, a podcast show where Sebastian used it as a platform to come out.


He's got Hollywood dream and aspired to be a Hollywood actor. But then turn of events impacted different decisions of his life.

He realized he is gay by 14. His family disowned him by 17.  He went to school to pursue a film major. He has traveled in different countries.


His travel escapades made him set foot to the Philippines. He's loved the country as much as he loved his first Filipino boyfriend for five months. He did modeling stints including a commercial with Angelica Panganiban for a leading shampoo brand.

He became a YouTube sensation. His tweets are being followed and lots of girls, who have crush on him, was dismayed upon knowing his orientation.

He is the talk of the town in show business, especially in social media. Although his popularity could be eclipsed by other bigwigs in Philippine show business, his fame has been proven when his "Bubble" video released on YouTube on the day before the Valentine's day.

Within a week of the music video's release, he managed to gain over a hundred thousand views on YouTube. As of this writing, his official YouTube video has been viewed over 360K and counting. Collectively though, the related videos of Bubbles gained about 500,000 views.


And yes, his video made it into the list of trending topics in the Philippines on Feb. 14. Even, Queerty.com, a famous LGBT website, posted about the video.
